When you wake up each morning, you need to say, “Father, thank You for this day. Thank You that You woke me up. Thank You that You gave me air to breathe. Thank You that You’ve surrounded me with favor. Everything may not be perfect, but I know You’re on the throne.
I am grateful to be alive. I’m grateful for my family. I’m grateful for every opportunity. I’m going to make the most of this day.” That’s not just being positive, that’s putting on a fresh new attitude. You’re wiping the slate clean.
He knew we wouldn’t perform perfectly. God knew we’d fail, we’d get knocked down, we’d make mistakes. That’s when the accuser works overtime trying to convince you that, “It’s too late; you’ve missed your chance. You’ll never get out of this challenge.” No, you have a defender. You have someone that won’t just stand up for you, but He’ll stoop down for you. He’ll come down to your level, not with judgment, but with mercy.
